Offering a selection of hard-to-find French cheese, charcuterie, boutique French wines and Champagnes, alongside pantry stunners you won't find anywhere else like French jams, organic pasta, truffle oils, pâtés, and so much more.
Le Petit Marché also provides a range of delicious baguette sandwiches, traditional French hampers, and seasonal specials (like truffles or caviar!).
Benoit Rivault took ownership of Le Petit Marché in March 2022 and is committed to bringing new and exciting French-based products to the Northern Beaches community and visitors for years to come.
About Benoit Rivault
Benoit was born in The Loire Valley, located in the Loire River in central France. The valley is known for its dry white wines, such as Sancerre, Pouilly-Fumé, Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc.
Benoit found a passion for food early in life, studying hospitality and learning cooking techniques, terroir and wines. He moved from France to London as a young man to grow his knowledge of the art of the table, defining the type of food he liked to serve. Benoit made Australia home in 2004, gaining experience at Sydney’s best restaurants - Benelong, Bondi Icebergs Fine Dining, Guillaume, and Chiswick.
After 22 years in the hospitality industry, Benoit is excited to fulfil his dream of owning a deli and sharing his love of quality food, beautiful wines and the French culture.
